M12 A-Code: 3/4/5/8/12 pins, rated 250V/4A, designed for sensors, actuators, and power connections. Most common in factory automation.

M12 D-Code: 4 pins only, 100 Mbps, shielded for PROFINET and EtherNet/IP. Standard for industrial Ethernet in automation networks.

M12 X-Code: 8 pins, 10 Gbps, Cat6a/Cat7 performance. Designed for high-speed data, vision systems, and 5G industrial applications.

Key rule: Different codes are keyed differently - you cannot plug A-Code into D-Code port. Choose based on your protocol and speed requirements.

IP67: Dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes). Suitable for most industrial environments and outdoor applications.

IP69K: Dust-tight and protected against high-pressure water jets (80°C water at 100 bar). Required for food processing, beverage, and heavy wash-down environments.

All our M12 connectors are IP67 rated as standard. IP69K options are available upon request.

Standard M12 connectors: -40°C to +85°C

Premium M12 connectors: -40°C to +105°C (with PUR cables)

Special high-temperature options: Up to +125°C available upon request

Always consider the cable jacket material: PVC (-20°C to +80°C), PUR (-40°C to +105°C), TPE (-40°C to +125°C).

Our M12 connectors are rated for 500 to 1,000 mating cycles depending on the model. For applications requiring frequent connection/disconnection (e.g., robot tool changers), we recommend choosing high-durability models with gold-plated contacts.

• PVC: Most economical, good flexibility, indoor use, -20°C to +80°C
• PUR: Excellent abrasion resistance, oil resistance, outdoor use, -40°C to +105°C. Recommended for industrial and solar applications.
• TPE: Medical grade, high flexibility, UV resistance, up to +125°C
• Halogen-free (LSZH): Low smoke, zero halogen, ideal for railways and tunnels

For solar farms, we recommend PUR jacket for UV and weather resistance.

Yes, our M12 connectors are fully compatible and interchangeable with leading brands including Phoenix Contact, TE Connectivity, Harting, Murrelektronik, and Turck. They follow the IEC 61076-2-101 standard specification.

Yes, we support custom pin configurations within standard coding (A-Code, B-Code, etc.). Common custom options include:

For field-wireable M12 connectors, follow these steps:

1. Strip the cable jacket (recommended length varies by model)
2. Insert wires into the corresponding pin terminals (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.)
3. Secure the screw terminals or use the IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) mechanism
4. Check pin assignment against the wiring diagram
5. Assemble the housing and torque to the specified value (typically 0.4-0.6 Nm)

For M12 D-Code (PROFINET/EtherNet/IP):

• Maximum length: 100 meters per segment (using Cat5e or higher cable)
• With repeaters/switches: Up to 500 meters total
• Shielded cable required: Yes, for noise immunity in industrial environments
